Note to self:  Don’t inject your 8 year old daughter with Botox…and if do, don’t go on television and proclaim it to the world.

By now I’m sure you’ve heard the news – pageant mom; Kerry Campbell, injected her 8 year old daughter with  Botox to give her daughter a “winning edge” over the competition at a recent pageant.

Two questions:

1.  Do 8 year olds even have wrinkles? Ok, that was mainly a rhetorical question.

1.  What message does this type of behavior send girls about self love, acceptance and body image?

2.  When such high value is place upon an outward manifestation of beauty, are we sending mixed messages about self word, intelligence and character?

Would you give your daughter a Botox treatment?
